So here we are, at the final week of the four week weight loss challenge with the Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion.  This has been such a great experience, and I learned some useful, new tips that I can continue to use in the future!

Before we dive into the results and my final thoughts on the Always Eat After 7Pm program with you, let’s recap some of the key points of what I’ve shared with you so far!

In Part 1 of the weight loss challenge, I shared with you the basics of the program and shared key elements that make this weight loss program stand out from others. There are many things that make this diet differ from others, but one of the most important is that Joel Marion’s Always Eat After 7PM program makes dieting easy and eliminates 90% of reasons for resistance. With these easy methods and tips, you can stay on course with the program and have better results than you may have had with other weight loss or dieting programs. And the best part…you get to eat after 7PM!

Part 2 of the weight loss challenge I went into detail about the science behind the Always Eat After 7PM program.  One of the major things that made this diet different is the “research shows that the average person’s metabolic rate is no different during sleep than during the day. In short, your metabolism doesn’t slow down at night. Nor does your body store fat at the end of the day. Whether it’s 8 am or 8 pm, you use food for energy the same way.”

I shared with your some mouth-watering, yummy foods and desserts, as well as broke the news to you that breakfast is the most important meal of the day in Part 3 of the weight loss challenge. Instead of breakfast, you could partake in intermittent fasting and choose from a few different 3-Minute Fat-Burning Morning Rituals from the book.

What I’ve learned from the book

Here are some of the key tips from the book that makes this diet program stand out among others.

Carbs can be your friend!

You have long been told to avoid cards with other dieting programs; well not anymore! Remember to pair super carbs like beans, oats, and grains, with a portion volumizing protein to help burn fat and control weight.  Carbs no longer have to be avoided, and should no longer get a bad rep.

“So, despite all the bad press over the years, certain carbohydrates play an important role in balancing your hormones and regulating your metabolic rate, while avoiding the dreaded weight loss plateaus that accompany conventional mainstream diets. Furthermore, when you eat these carbohydrates, you’ll feel much better than you would if you were following a traditional diet.”

Protein before bed, hence Always Eat After 7PM

For weight loss, protein is key to include in your diet. It helps to rebuild, repair, and regenerate your organs on a day-to-day basis. Without enough protein in your diet, your body will not be able to repair and rebuild the tissues that are required for optimal function.

“Scientists have established that consuming at least 20 grams of protein stimulates muscle protein synthesis for two to five hours after eating a meal. However, recent research also shows that protein synthesis drops to unexpectedly low levels during sleep, even if you eat ample protein during and after evening exercise. This has led researchers to speculate that this process may fall off during sleep if you don’t eat protein prior to bedtime.”

It was found that the most challenging times to curb hunger are just before bed and in the morning. By following the Always Eat After 7PM program, you have the most willpower to stay on the diet because you are eating during the hours when you are most hungry. This also puts you into both intermittent fasting increasing testosterone and your metabolism, while putting you into ketosis.

My results and overall thoughts on the program

So overall, I really enjoyed picking up the tips I learned from the book. I was able to get some yummy recipes that I can continue to use, even after the challenge ends. I ended up being down seven pounds; about halfway to my initial goal of fifteen pounds. I feel great and love the healthy journey I am on! I know that by continuing to use the book as my guide, I will reach my goal and keep building on the healthy lifestyle that I envisioned.

It was an easy, simple plan to follow in words and texts that were easy to understand. It was if the author Joel Marion was speaking directly to me; almost like we were having a conversation! Having the tone of the book written in this manner made it a breeze to keep reading!

Thanks for following me along on my journey with the program! I hope that you have learned a few tips that you found helpful on your weight loss journey I wish you well and good luck on your journey to a healthy lifestyle!
