We all know how important it is to take care of the environment. Let’s face it, we only have one Earth, so it may be a good idea to take better care of it. What better way than to swap out some of the products we have become so accustomed to using on a regulars basis for ecofriendly, Earth conscious alternatives that can also simplify your life! Now who would say no to that?!
Why choose ecofriendly products over single use products?
There are so many benefits to using and switching to ecofriendly products. Ecofriendly products promote green living, which helps to conserve energy and prevent air and water pollution. Here are just a few reasons we should start using them:
- ecofriendly products such as solar panels generate energy from the sun
- in the long run, it will cost you less
- they help to improve the environment
- they help to reduce and save water
- they aid in improving our health
There are so many negative effects of using single use products. Single use products are not good for the environment for a number of reasons. We should avoid using them as much as we can. Here are just a few reasons why we should stop using them:
- they take longer to break down
- they are harmful to wildlife; animals unknowingly ingest them
- they contribute to the growing amount of waste
- they pollute our oceans and air
- they have a negative effect on our health
These products are ecofriendly AND can make things easier for you in the long run! Why not give them a try?

3. Mermaid Straw
Mermaid Straws are fun, fashionable, and make a statement with their unique look. You will definitely stand out with a Mermaid Straw. It’s no secret, single use plastic products are harmful to the Earth and wildlife animals. According to their website, more than 8 million tons of plastic is dumped into our oceans every year. Mermaid Straw states that this number will continue to grow due to how many single use plastic items are used in the United States every year.
Something as simple as switching to a reusable straw can have long-lasting effects on our environment and the wildlife. There are other alternatives to plastic straws. Bamboo and glass are other alternatives that are reusable and that do not end up in landfills.
Get your hands on a FREE Mermaid Straw by visiting their website. I’ll be sure to share on social media about it once I get it and show you how cool it is! I’m excited to do my part! They even have other products as well, drinkware, flatware, apparel and accessories!

If you use coffee pods, you should definitely consider switching to pods that are compostable. Although pods may be small, they still have lasting effects on our environment, and they do their part in adding to the waste. Tayst has also partnered with farmers and communities in the Rainforest Alliance. The Rainforest Alliance works with coffee farmers to improve their livelihoods and the overall health and the well-being of their communities. It’s a great organization, and it’s great that Tayst earned the Rainforest Alliance Certified seal!
What to take from this
In the end, the most important thing to take from this is that you can make small, simple and easy changes to items that you use everyday, by just switching them out with these great eco friendly products. You in no way need to switch out everything in your home or in your daily life that you use that is not eco friendly. That is not the purpose or intent of this. This just shows you that you can choose one or two of your daily use items that you ultimately could switch out to a more sustainable alternative instead. Every little change helps, and if we all chose just a few items to swap out with biodegradable products instead, we would be helping and saving our environment and the wildlife that much more!
Tell me, are there any ways in which your family does their part in helping reduce, reuse, and recycle? Feel free to drop your tips in the comments, I would love to read about them! Be on the lookout on my social media platforms for the post sharing when I get my free straw!
Until next time,
Thanks for sharing these product ideas! I especially like the reusable Lotus bags. I’ll have to check those out. Great ideas!
Lisa, the Lotus Trolley bags are definitely a must have!
Love this post! My family recently started using reusable straws and we love them. Still getting used to remembering to take them out with us. I currently use canvas bags for grocery shopping but these are awesome. I need produce bags so I’ll look into these. Thanks for all the wonderful tips!
Ana, I can’t wait to get my reusable straws! Trust me, the Lotus Trolley Produce Bags are a game changer!
Great list of eco-friendly products! It’s so important that each of us take a step in the right direction to protect our beautiful planet! Thank you so much for sharing!

Hi Jessi! Yes, if we all did a little to help, it would actually help our planet out in a big way!
Those straws really catch my eye. And they have a special brush to clean them! I’ve wondered how to best keep them clean. And you are right – we are making a difference, even if we are just one person. Sometimes that is easy to forget!
I’m totally agree! We must all choose alternative eco friendly products and avoid one single use items! Great post!
Thank you Gabi! Yes, even the small things will help!
There are some really great products here. I am intrigued by the coffee pods as I have a keurig and I like coffee from the pods better than I like using bulk coffee and the reusable pod. The coffee never comes out as strong or and flavorful when I do it that way. However when I use the pods I also don’t like all the trash and waste that goes with using the K-cups. So I am going to have to check this out!
Thank you for blogging about these products! I’m definitely getting the grocery bags and reusable straws.
I’ve also been looking at buying home care products from Miessence. Their cleaners have probiotics in them that eat the harmful bacteria behind mold and mildew. Even better is no noxious bleach smell 😊
such a great post, thank you for sharing!! definitely going to order those lotus bags for me and for a few friends for the holidays 🙂 x
Nice! Great ideas! I like the shopping bag, California passed a law banning single use bags, those bags look so much more organized than the pile that I have wadded up.
These are some great ideas! The bags are super cute, I’ll have to look into them! I have a few reusable bags but they aren’t very sturdy and I feel awkward taking the bag with the brand name of one store into other stores lol! I recently got a reusable metal straw and I love it! Another reusable product I could’t live without is my stainless steal water bottle! Drinking out of plastic bottles really isn’t good for your environment or for your body.
I loved this post! I’m trying so hard to be eco friendly but sometimes it’s difficult. I have to check out those Lotus bags…they hold your eggs and wine!! Haha. And I am loving the bamboo products!
Excellent items to recommend! I just discovered Mermaid Straws and I am super excited about it!
Thank you sharing about eco-friendly products. I am going to check out the lotus tree trolley bags and the coffee pods. The lotus tree bags look cute! I love coffee. We all need to take care of our environment by making little changes!
I have been wanting to try out the lotus bags.
Totally agree. The small change that we make in our daily life can effect our environment highly . So even though small we are helping environment my making these changes
I love the grocery cart organizing bags! Makes so much sense. We just switched to reusable straws instead of one-time use plastic ones.
This is a great post and a reminder to us all to be more mindful of protecting and sustaining our planet. That lotus bag is pretty cool. I will have to check it out.
I love using my own bags at the grocery store! They are more sturdy too, so you don’t have to worry about the bag breaking!
I really loved the Lotus Bags, but all the products looks useful. Great ways to use more eco friendly products.
I’ve recently bought hemp kitchen sponges and they are absolutely brilliant. They’re good at their job, maybe better than standard scrubby sponges, and I know that when I’m finished with one I can just put it in the compost bin like grass cuttings, branches and food waste.
I think I’m in love with those Lotus Trolley bags!!
We don’t use coffee pods at all, and we try to buy things for lunches in bulk and then pack them ourselves, which saves money too!
LOVE that mermaid straw. These switches really help our environment and everyone should make them.
