Homeschool has definitely gained popularity among parents

Over the recent years, homeschooling has become quite popular. It give parents and children alike to have a hand and a say in what they are learning, and provides a hands-on learning approach for children. It makes it easy to get your child to learn when they find the content and information interesting. This is a component of the Montessori philosophy. As Montessori teachers or guides, it is important to take into consideration the interests of the children, so that they want to be engaged and participate in the daily activities. Following the lead of the child is why not only Montessori schools are so popular and successful but why Montessori homeschooling works so well!

Did someone say free? Who doesn’t like FREE?

Let’s all be honest…we all like to get things for free, right?! I know I certainly do.  It makes it even better that there are free educational resources available for parents to use in their homeschooling journey. With the printable materials and activities on the sites below, you can easily choose what activities are developmentally appropriate for your child, and use them for free.  It just simply doesn’t get any better than that!

Why use printables and downloads?

The activities on each of these sites I have personally used in my classroom while I was teaching. I always had a full classroom of traditional Montessori materials, but in many cases the need to add some supplemental materials into the environment was necessary. Printables and downloads are a great way to add in additional materials to your existing curriculum, or as a way to introduce new lessons to children. Some prefer not to use outside supplemental materials and printables in the Montessori environment. As an educator, I always felt that it was my job to keep the learning in my classroom interesting and challenging, so for me finding and adding in other activities enhanced their learning and provided a more balanced experience.

Depending on what you are looking for, you can search through the sites and find materials for language, mathematics, science, geography, and more. Each site has a variety of printable downloads, so you can just download specific items geared towards your child’s learning abilities. In no time, you can have your hands on homeschool materials that suit your child’s individual learning interests and abilities!
